Due to the high number of electrical surges that we are prone to on the Costa Blanca we would strongly recommend that you protect your computer with some sort of surge protection, here are a couple of the available options.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SURGE PROTECTORS AND UPSs ARE INTENDED TO PROTECT AGAINST ELECTRICAL SURGES NOT LIGHTNING STRIKES.

The cheapest option is a surge protector this contains a small trip which breaks the power supply when the electricity surges, it can be reset once the supply has returned to normal.  Prices start from 18€

 

A UPS is in effect a large battery which will provide a temporary power supply in the event of a power failure, it will also top up a temporarily low supply and absorb any electrical surges thus evening out the supply to prevent damage to your equipment.  Prices start from 105€
